Family Service Advocate Intern
Provides direct client services both emergency services and on-going support services.
Interns work with Family Services staff.
- Provide information and referral assistance to clients who walk in or call the Center.
- Assist clients registering into emergency programs, such as emergency food, clothing, and utility.
- Assists Family Advocates with client services.
- Assist with client data entry.
- 3 sites available.
Please note: it is very helpful in this position to be bilingual English/Spanish.
Education Intern
Provide academic support to children from low-income families at risk of academic failure.
Interns work with Education Coordinator.
- Administer and track standardized academic testing.
- Direct client contact - tutor students, develop tutoring plans and supervise tutors as directed.
- Lead small group activities.
- Document students’ progress, attendance and test results.
- Assist Education Coordinator with data and grant tracking
