Located in the heart of
Killefer Park, in one of Orange’s multicultural neighborhoods, the Friendly Center assists the economically less fortunate through programs
and services,
such as children and youth academic tutoring and enrichment programs, family advocacy, Senior Citizen activities, supplemental food programs and emergency
services.
Many families in our community struggle with health problems, lack of education, lack of sufficient employment, and other unfortunate circumstances. Poverty can be a trap that keeps people from achieving a happy and productive life.
A helping hand will enable many of these families to get back on their feet, and allow them to become stable and self-supporting members of our community. That is why Friendly Center exists.
Located in a familiar and comfortable neighborhood setting, we provide life-changing assistance to more than 600 families every year.
Our 25 programs and services include family advocacy, counseling, food and utility assistance, senior citizen services, and tutoring and enrichment programs for children from pre-school through high school.
With the help of volunteers and the financial support of the community, Friendly Center makes a difference every day in the lives of our children, families and seniors.
